September retail trade value down 1.5%, volume down 3%, Cystat says

Retail trade turnover in September saw its value and volume indexes decrease 1.5 per cent to 89.5 units and 3 per cent to 85.7 units respectively compared to the month before, the statistical service said today citing provisional data.
In January to September retail value increased 1.4 per cent while the volume rose 2.9 per cent compared to the respective period last year, Cystat said on its website today.
In August, the retail turnover value index fell 6.2 per cent to 90.9 units compared to the month before and 1.1 per cent compared to a year ago, while the volume index fell 5.9 per cent to 88.4 units compared to July and remained unchanged compared to August 2013, Cystat said citing revised figures.
In January to August the retail value and volume indexes rose 1.3 per cent and 2.8 per cent respectively compared to the same respective period a year ago, the statistical service said on its website.
